International Cooperation in the IST Programme Funding arrangements • Getting funding organizations in third-countries to fund their local participants with no additional evaluation • Brazil: 3 M€ • Quebec: 2 M€ • IDB, Argentina, Mexico: 4.5 M€ but pre-check • Singapore and Taiwan in FP6 Turkey: 0.5 - 1.5 M€ Tübitak funds for industry and academia 10 M€ so far

International Cooperation in the IST Programme Promotion of programs with industrial or social impact (Asia IT&C, EUMEDIS, @LIS, ...) • To accompany RTD with: • Pilot projects of industrial value downstream • Exploitation and take-up in emerging economies • Technology transfer • Access to IT-skilled human resources • Provide a better regulatory framework 75 M€ - over 100 M€ more to come!
