Students designing in Preescolar III to Segundo Science and Technology The Foundation Statements and the Preescolar III to Segundo outcome for designing and making place an emphasis on students: • responding to investigations of needs and wants • following a guided design process to create products • drawing and modelling design ideas using accepted methods and practices. At Preescolar III to Segundo,students become more methodical in their approach to designing. They are more willing to draw and model ideas before settling on a final solution. They start to appreciate how products and environments are designed to meet people’s needs. Students work co-operatively sharing resources and helping others where necessary.
