Goal of the project: • Connect Young Alumni back to campus! • Design a survey to get feedback about alumni relations • Help the alumni development office get feedback from alumni
Outline of Main Points • Timeline • The survey • Challenges/Limitations • The results • Conclusions
Timeline 1. Why each of us, or most of us chose this project? 2. Brainstorm for questions 3. First draft of questions 4. Suggestions from Jake Shireman 5. Talk to Justine Rabbett 6. Finalize questions 7. Contact Bob Adams to put up the survey in survey-monkey 8. Run the survey 9. Collect and analyze results
The survey • Questions (409 people submitted the survey) • Sent to Gold alumni: the people who graduated in the last decade
Challenges/Limitations • Finding the right people Sean Cowman • Getting the survey out communication
Results • Tailgating is the most attractive (most attended/most popular) alumni event.
What event would you like hosted in the future? • Bowling • Service/volunteer work • Ski trip • Paintball • Hockey game • Chicago sporting events • Happy hour • Color Run • Sporting events at Loras for alumni • Christmas Party
Conclusions 1. Tailgating is the most popularly attended event 2. Gather information to help create a better connection with alumni within the first 5 years • Then they will be more likely to donate in the future • Wait until they’re more financially stable 3. Focus on creating specific events for the 5-10 year alumni age group to increase attendance
