Your Found Poem • Subject “YOU” • Arrange phrases or words • Set up your narrative and don’t worry about making it poetic yet • Re-arrange and tell a different story about yourself, get your poetic muscle working • Write your poem on a piece of binder paper
Your Found Poem • Put away your clipping in your envelope • Put your draft away in your binder
Day of Revision • Arrange your poem according to your draft • Play with the poem’s structure • Do you want a rhyme scheme? • Do you want a metrical beat? • Have a conference….or two
The details count • Look at your poem for • Line breaks • Spacing • Length of lines
Publish • Glue poem to cover of core composition book (gluesticks) • With a partner cover with contact paper
