    4. 4 Plant-Verified Drop-Shipment PVDS Definitions Enables origin verification and postage payment Mail transported to destination USPS facilities for acceptance. By mailer (or third party) at the mailer’s expense On mailer’s own or contracted vehicle Mail eligible for discounts Standard Mail Parcel Select Bound Printed Matter Periodicals Plant-verified drop shipment (PVDS) enables origin verification and postage payment for shipments transported by a mailer (or third party) at the mailers expense, on the mailers own, contracted vehicle. Standard Mail, Parcel Select, Bound Printed Matter and Periodicals may be eligible for further discounts if the mail is entered closer to its destination. Note: PS Form 8125 is not required for eVSPlant-verified drop shipment (PVDS) enables origin verification and postage payment for shipments transported by a mailer (or third party) at the mailers expense, on the mailers own, contracted vehicle.     10. 10 Plant-Verified Drop-Shipment PS Form 8125 PVDS Verification and Clearance Proof of verification and payment at Origin Post office for entry facility Reconciliation of volume Documentation of load irregularities at Destination Entry Office PS Form 8125, Plant-Verified Drop Shipment (PVDS) PVDS Verification and Clearance form is to prove to the entry facility that the mail being presented by the mailer or mailer’s agent was verified and paid for at Origin Post Office. The form also serves to reconcile volume and document load irregularities at Destination Entry Office. A facsimile of the form is permitted if you have received approval in advance by the district manager of Business Mail Entry or a designee. Return original and a copy (if submitted by mailer) to the mailer. Information from an electronic file is used to create this form and the form does not contain an acceptance employee’s signature or date. The authorized DSMS sites have approved systems and processes to allow movement of the mail to consolidation facilities prior to postal payment.PS Form 8125-CD, Plant-Verified Drop Shipment (PVDS) Drop Shipment Management System (DSMS) This form can only be generated by mailers that have Drop Shipment Management Systems (DSMS) that are approved by the Business Mail Support (BMS) office at USPS headquarters.
