Introduction Uranus is the 7th planet from the earth, and the coldest planet in the solar system. It’s a planet that would take 9 and a half years to get to from earth, here is some more about it.
Astronomical data the planet takes slightly more than 84 Earth years, essentially an entire human life span, to complete one orbit. Distance from sun is 2,877,000,000 km Uranus is that it rotates on its side. All of the planets are tilted on their axes to some degree, but Uranus has the most extreme axial tilt of 98°.
Surface Data If you could stand on the surface of Uranus (you can’t), you would experience 89% the force of gravity that you experience on Earth. Another way to look at it is that objects dropped towards Uranus will accelerate towards the planet at 8.69 m/s2. The temperature on the surface of Uranus' cloud layer is -350°F Uranus is a frozen, gaseous planet with a molten core. Uranus' atmosphere consists of 83% hydrogen, 15% helium and 2% methane.
