Current Govt Approval for 14 x F-35A Govt Approval for Next Phase – NLT early 2013 (NLT 58 x F-35A) Later Phase – 28 x F-35A post 2015 (to bring total to 100 aircraft) First pilots trained in US – from mid 2014 2016/17 – stand up maintenance training in Australia 2017 – at least four aircraft fly to Australia 2017/18 – conduct Australian OT&E 2018 – IOC (one squadron) 2019 – standup pilot training in Australia 2021 – FOC (three squadrons) NACC Schedule
