  3. Making Data Submission Easier • MDS Data Submission System • Developed by Duane Beekly • Cuts data submission time • Speeds error check processing • Rave reviews by users • Will be further adapted for NP data • UDS submission system • Coming soon!

  4. 2004 MDS Data Call Deadline was April 16 • ~71,000 total ID’s submitted • Data completely submitted through NACC Web Site • Data completely error checked through NACC Web Site • 28 Centers Submitted On or before deadline. • OHSU was No. 1 • Certification deadline Apr 30: • 6 have certified so far

  5. Database Access • Steering Committee approves “public access” to de-identified MDS/NP data • Publication and User identification schemes under development • Data thru 2002 to be available • Junior investigator data analysis awards • Increase use; Generate science

  6. NACC Collaborative Studies • Huge increase in productivity • 55 paper + abstracts published or submitted • 10 grants submitted using data • Next Competitive submission: TBA • After budget cuts • “Most papers and abstracts” Award • Dr. Bernardino Ghetti, Indiana U.
