The Nile River • Egypt is located in north eastern Africa • It is the worlds longest river; 4000 miles • It flows north from Lake Victoria into Mediterranean Sea • There is higher elevated land in south that causes the river to flow north into flatter land
Nile Delta • A large fan like area of fertile land • Located in Lower Egypt • Where river empties into the Mediterranean Sea
Divides Egypt into Two Parts • Lower Egypt – northern part; flat fertile land • Upper Egypt – southern part; high rocky land
