You will stand before the judge of all. “Each of us shall give account of himself to God” (Rom 14:12). “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” ( 2 Cor 5:10).

You will stand before the judge of all. • “Each of us shall give account of himself to God” (Rom 14:12). • “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Cor 5:10).
One: Imagine what hell is like. • Hell is a place of great torment. • “Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame” (Lk 16:24). • Hell is an eternal place. • “The smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name” (Rev 14:11). • Hell is a place of horrible worms. • Mk 9:43-44. • Hell is a horrible place. • Matt 22:13.
Two: Examine yourself. • Self-examination should be a key component of our Christian lives. • “Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup” (1 Cor 11:28). • “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves” (2 Cor13:5). • Test yourself this week. • Are you truly ready to stand before the Lord in judgment?
Three: Ask this question: “What will I do today that will lead me closer to heaven?” • Every day we can move closer to heaven. • What will you choose?
