Patient History • 63 year old, male, caucasian • History of hypercholesterolemia • Stopped smoking 35 years ago, smoke for 3 years. • Meds- acyclovir, ibuprofen, simvastatin • Presented in general clinic for periodic diagnosis.
Lesion Description • Pt presents with a small piece of amalgam between teeth #27 and #29 on the buccal surface. The colorization of the amalgam tatoo is a blue/gray. Amalgam tattoo is in the attached gingiva at the border of the free gingivainterproximally betwee#27 and #29 (28 is missing), lesion is flat and approximately 2 mm in diameter. When an x-ray was taken there is a little radiolucent spec interpoximal between #27 and #29 about 1.0-1.5mm below the aveolar crest.

(no) • Have you ever experienced pain or discomfort in that area? (no) • Are these lesions currently present anywhere else? Have they ever been? (no)
