  2. PROJECT You have just entered “The Amazing Race”. Your job is to travel west across the United States spending only one night in 3 different cities. You are to leave from and return to any one of the three New York area airports (Kennedy, LaGuardia, or Newark).

THE RULES • YOU MUST TRAVEL WEST ACROSS THE UNITED STATES AND BACK. • YOU HAVE TO STOP IN 3 CITIES AND ONLY SPEND 1 NIGHT IN EACH. • FOR EACH CITY YOU HAVE TO FIND THE FOLLOWING: • A HOTEL TO STAY IN • AN ATTRACTION TO VISIT • A PICTURE OF A FAMOUS PLACE IN THE CITY • 3 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE CITY • A RESTAURANT AND MEAL FOR DINNER

  4. KEEP TRACK OF THE MONEY YOU SPEND (FOOD, HOTEL, ENTERTAINMENT, ETC.) IN EXCEL. (USE FORMULAS) • CREATE A PRESENTATION IN POWERPOINT ABOUT YOUR TRIP. INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: • A TITLE SLIDE WITH YOUR TITLE, NAME, DATE, CLASS • A SLIDE WITH A U.S. MAP HIGHLIGHTING YOUR DESTINATION CITIES • A SLIDE FOR EACH OF THE CITIES YOU VISIT – INCLUDING ALL OF THE INFORMATION FROM #3.   10. Dear Andrew and Ian, I am having a wonderful time on my vacation. I wish you were here. I climbed Pikes Peak in Colorado, you would have loved the view! Next, I stopped in Las Vegas. There is so much to do there. What a crazy place! Palm Springs is about 97 degrees right now. I am roasting! I took lots of pictures of the hot springs. I can’t wait to show you.
