From 1 January in 2007 Bulgaria is a member of the European Union Every Bulgarian has the right to travel, work, study or live in each Member State, including the right to develop their own business in a Member State and to enjoy social security systems. 109-th Primary School "Hristo Smirnenski" in Sofia The school was founded in the 50’s of XX century on the crossing streets “Slatinska” and "Ivan Shterev" in Sofia. It is located in Slatina region, near the centre of the Bulgarian capital, near the wonderful green park. The building used to be small, but now it was extended, renovated and became a modern school. It has 3 floors with sunny rooms, two computer halls, two gyms and a canteen. It has educated some generations of children till now. Students are about 500 and their number gets bigger every new school year. The entrance and school rooms are decorated with portraits of writers and revolutionaries fighting against the turkish yoke... There is a nurse to take care about students every day. The school is a partner of the most ancient university in Bulgaria – The Sofia University “St.Kliment Ohridski”. People and students take part in a number of national and international projects.Children can study here English, German and Spanish language. Also they can improve their education in Computer technologies, sport and art.The schoolyard has seen a lot of passionate football, volleyball and basketball games.
