  2. CAF usage statistics for 29 July-05 August 2010 TF & AF meeting

  3. Workers per each user • lxbsq1413, lxbsq1414 and lxbsq1416 are back into production • lxbsq1415 is having its disk changed • User connecting to CAF gets 26 active workers at the moment TF & AF meeting

  4. CAF packages upgrade: packman issues • Attempted installation of aliroot v4-18-Rev26 (recommended by Peter for on-line reconstruction) • Packman fails to upgrade aliroot packages • Pablo is informed, awaiting solution • Trying to fix the problem myself TF & AF meeting

  5. CAF maintenance improvements • Periodical synchronisation of software packages with grid (twice per day) as cron job – enabled • Is not working due to packman issue • Logging of the sychronisation process is being added • Automatic restart of CAF services if they are down for 5 minutes (based on the script for the previous CAF cluster by Jan FieteOetringhaus) – in progress • Automatic completion of the staged databases (if they are not staged up to 100%) once per night – in progress TF & AF meeting

  6. Data staging • New version of data stager daemon • Custom actions for datasets • Dataset synchronisation with alien • Dataset synchronisation over different Afs • Verification of datasets • Will be tested on skaf-test with Dario Berzano (probably tomorrow) TF & AF meeting

  7. User requests • Reconstruction of some with aliroot v4-19-Rev on CAF (requested by Ruben Shahoyan) • Will be available once aliroot upgrade on CAF is done • Running custom reconstruction job on CAF and with ProofLite to compare results (requested by Stefan Lohn) • ArmenuhiAbramyan works on this • Rewriting of the macro and testing it on CAF is done • Running with ProofLite is in progress TF & AF meeting
