  2. Adonis And Astarte • 1. Adonis and Astarte were the gods of love and beauty for the Phoenicians and they loved each other. One day Adonis wanted to go hunting, his wife Astarte was worried about something bad happening to him. He convinced her to let him go by saying that he will be ok. When Adonis got to the forest he saw a wild boar and a battle started between the two, and at the end the wild boar killed Adonis. The legend said that when Adonis fell into the river his blood got spread into the water and turned red.

  3. Moral • 2. There is no moral in this story.

  4. Portray • 3. Astarte, and if I could portray this character on stage I would be talking to my husband and telling him I am worried… And I don’t want you to go and I would act sad.

  5. Rama And Sita • 4. In Rama and Sita, Sita loved Rama and Rama loved Sita, and in this story, Adonis loved Astarte, and Astarte loved Adonis.

  6. Character I Would Choose • 5. I would choose Sita because I think I would be good at having a loud voice and I don’t get shy on stage, and I can easily learn her lines.
