  4. Examples of Communication • Telling stories • Discussing plans • Sharing secrets • Asking questions • Giving directions • Listening to problems • Arguing about ideas • Delivered book reports Etc.

  6. Channels • What are some ways we communicate? • The way we convey our message is through a channel. What are some examples of a channel? (verbal, nonverbal, written, gestures, etc.)

  7. Types of Communication Intrapersonal Communication- with yourself Interpersonal Communication- with one or two other people Group Communication- 4-10 people Public Communication- 10 or more

  8. Things that get in the way of good Comm: • Bad listeners • Noise-internal or external • Context- The surroundings influence what is being communicated • Perception-the way you see things
