Meet the Champions Mary Alice Prill 4th Flight
Mary Alice Prill4th Flight • When did you begin golfing? • I took my first lesson in the spring of 1997 because it was something my husband, Larry, and I could do together wherever we went. This was especially important to be able to spend time together in our retirement years and be outdoors. • Current or Former Profession • I’m a substitute teacher – K-5 in Seminole County, as well as a few private schools. • In what other hobbies/interests are you involved ? • I’m an avid reader of murder mysteries and love to work in the garden. I have three “fur children” (cats) – Simon, Malcolm and Munchkin. I also have a 22-year-old step-daughter, Natalie.
Mary Alice Prill4th Flight • What is your favorite course to play? • I don’t have a favorite course to play. We’ve played many different courses in Florida and Massachusetts. I’ve even played in Bermuda, which was absolutely beautiful! • What is your favorite club in your bag? • My favorite club has always been my 7 wood because, even early on, I could hit it very good.
Mary Alice Prill4th Flight • Have you advanced to either Semi or Final Championship level previously? If so, tell us about your experience. • This is my first semi-final and I’m very excited. • What good luck charm or special routine will you use at the Semi-final/Final rounds? • My strategy of play is to just play my own game and remain positive.
Mary Alice Prill4th Flight • How did you become involved with the EWGA? • I got involved in EWGA as a guest of Carol Taylor. Although Larry and I play most every weekend, I wanted to get involved with a women’s group for the competitiveness and friendships.
