  6. 5 Painless Tips for Free • Ensure servers and PCs are regularly "patched" • Use a modern browser – IE7/8 or Firefox 3.6 • Restrict remote access & strong passwords • Restrict access to high risk activities such as file sharing • Ensure virus software is up to date

  7. Another 5! • Use encryption on all USB thumb drives • Use anti spamming filters on ALL emails • Dedicate a quarantine area for all downloads • Disable use of USB drives for users unless they are encrypted • Enable audit logging on all sensitive data locations
