  2. Computer-based technology, called multimedia, enables instructors to combine sound, text, still pictures, and video into one electronic presentation. Multimedia Instructional Delivery System allows instructors to make use of existing instructional materials from many different sources. There could be a time savings because once multimedia lessons are prepared, they can be used repetitively, freeing up faculty time previously used for lectures.

  3. Goals of Multimedia IDS Provide faculty with convenient means to create multimedia presentations and interactive multimedia lessons, Provide students with the means to use interactive multimedia for self-instruction,

  4. Multimedia Technology Resource Center a location with all hardware and software necessary for faculty to create multimedia presentations easily themselves.

  5. Time Costs in Investing in Multimedia IDS time for training faculty and multimedia staff time for staff to develop multimedia resources--to select and integrate hardware and software and to become skilled in their use.
