When should we start the procurement for the components where discussion is closed? Any lessons learnt from procurement/shipment/assembling experiences so far?

Norad Procurement Guidelines • The Grant Recipient undertakes to effect all procurements unless otherwise agreed in writting • Procurement to follow generally accepted principles, practices and regulations of the partner’s jurisdiction • Highest ethical standard during procurement • Contracts > NOK 100,000 should be submitted to NORAD in 30 days before entering into force • A copy of invitations to international tenders for procurements > NOK 600,000 atleast 40 days before invitation is published

Considerations What are the generally accepted procurement principles, practices and regulations of the partner’s jurisdiction (Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan) ? • Quotations • less than 247 KNOK – domestic bidding atleast 30 days • 247KNOK – 490 KNOK: Domestic and International bidding • Transport and taxes
