  2. Trouble is a part of your life, Independent Clause – a group of words that can stand alone as a complete sentence

  3. Sentence Imitation and Coordinating Conjunction – a word that can join two independent clauses.

  4. Sentence Imitation if you don’t share it, Dependent (subordinate) clause – a group of words that depends on an independent clause to exist as a sentence. Subordinating Conjunction – a word that can begin a subordinate clause.

(ind. clause-second half) NOW WRITE A SENTENCE OF YOUR OWN THAT CONTAINS ALL THESE ELEMENTS.

  7. This type of sentence is called a COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE. Define COMPOUND-COMPLEX SENTENCE. What are some reasons for using COMPOUND SENTENCES rather than just simple sentences?
