  2. General Info • Internet Explorer is the application used to view Web pages • .htm is the file name extension used in Web pages • My Pictures is the default folder for saving images from Web pages • A URL for a Web site is an address

  3. General Info • The Internet is considered to be a Wide area Network (WAN) • The cursor is an indicator of your location on the screen • Name, Size, Type, and Date Modified are the options for arranging icons on the desktop

  4. General Info • When the mouse pointer appears as an hourglass, you need to wait for windows to finish processing • Ctrl+C is used to copy files • Ctrl+Alt+Del is the keystroke combination that displays a dialog box that allows you to initiate a shut down
