Immediate response of HKRC • Since 14 May, more staff were sent to China to source and purchase quilts, tents and other relief supplies • 1st HKRC medical team (6 members) arrived Chengdu on 15 May

In summary: • Raised HK$ 988 million • 900 volunteers contributed 5000 service hours • Handled 32,000 telephone enquiries • Recorded 550,000 visits to the HKRC website • Estimated 600,000 donation receipts to be issued • Appointed PriceWaterHouse to perform internal audit since 26 May 08

The HKRC has served 230,000 affected people by purchasing and distributing (with HK$ 18 million): • 5,000 family tents • 54,000 quilts • 5,500 family kits • 8,500 cartoons of instant noodle • 500 large tents for facilities
