ErasmusIntensive programmes • short, structured programm of study • min. 3 Higher Education Institutions (EUC) min. 3 participating countries (ERASMUS) • min. 10 continuous days - max. 6 weeks
OBJECTIVES/AIMS • encourage multinational teaching of specialist topics no research activities or conferences • working together in multinational groups • teaching staff exchange views on - teaching content - new curricula approaches - teaching methods - test new methods • no routine event one off activity – max. 3 years
PRIORITIES • under-represented subjects in Erasmus student mobility • part of double or joint degrees • strong multidisciplinary approach
DESIDERABLE FEATURES • full recognition (ECTS) • use ICT tools • European added value
PARTNERSHIP • min. 3 Higher Education Institutions (EUC) • min. 3 different countries (ERASMUS 1 EU member state) • Coordinating institution application at the NA of the country of the co-ordinating institution • real collaboration
Who can participate • Students and teachers from partner institutions • min. 10 - max. 60 students • max. 20 teachers • ratio students – teacher 3:1
LOCATION • e.g. Austria = coordinating institution location: - coordinating institution in Austria or - partner institution in partner country • use the infrastructure • minimise the costs
GRANT – ELIGIBLE COSTS • 3 categories of elegible costs: • Organisational costs • Travel costs • Accomodation and Subsistence costs
ORGANISATIONAL COSTS • Organisational costs – lump sum • Scale of org. costs 2009/10 in AUSTRIA: - 5.500 € up to 20 students - 6.000 € 20 – 29 students - 6.500 € 30 – 39 students - 7.000 € 40 – 49 students - 7.500 € more than 50 students
TRAVEL COSTS • Travel costs - 75% of the real costs • Low – priced means of transport - more than 400km airplain
SUBSISTENCE COSTS • Subsistence costs – flat rate/participant AUSTRIA: • 2008/09 students 409€/2 weeks teachers 699€/first week 134€/day • 2009/10 students 525,75€/2weeks teachers 693€/ first week 99€/day • Coverage of the remaining costs partner institutions
