  2. SECOND PERSON POINT OF VIEW • “You said” • Key Pronouns: You • Rarely used, except in interactive fiction • You walked into the room. You smiled at Marcus. “He looks tired,” you thought. Marcus managed to smile back at you.

  3. THIRD PERSON • “He said”/ “she said” • Key Pronouns: he, she, they, them • Narrator isn’t in the story, just telling the story • Ms. Cook walked into the room. She smiled at Marcus. Marcus managed to smile back at her.

  4. Omniscient omni = all scient= thought, knowing (conscience, conscious, science) People who believe in God say that He is omniscient, or all-knowing

  5. THIRD PERSON LIMITED POINT OF VIEW • Third person: he said/she said • Narrator knows thoughts and feelings of one character. • Ms. Cook walked into the room. She smiled at Marcus. “He looks tired,” Ms. Cook thought. Marcus managed to smile back at her.

  6. THIRD PERSON OMNISCIENT POINT OF VIEW Third person: he said/she said Narrator knows thoughts and feelings of any character. Ms. Cook walked into the room. She smiled at Marcus. “He looks tired,” Ms. Cook thought. Marcus managed to smile back at her. “I don’t know how I’m going to stay awake in this class,” he thought.
