Kent State Survey • Dear Friends: Thank you for being willing to distribute and/or take the Special Education and Technology Survey we disseminated in December. If you have not had the chance to take the survey, please consider taking a few moments of your time to help us learn more about this important topic. Please also consider sharing the survey within your networks. http://kentstate.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_b3j0hdN1LKj8rv7 • As we shared in our survey invite, we are working on a grant funded by AT&T to better inform our understanding of mobile applications for special education. We hope to improve our work as well as inform the field. As such, in addition to distributing findings from the survey, we will use survey results to build new apps that we will then release to the public. You can see all of our work at: http://spedapps.kent.edu • Our website highlights our work but also acts as a repository for hundreds of special education apps. You can use the database freely without registering and without filling out the survey (it would help us if you filled out the survey first to not sway your answers). You can also freely join the site where you can add your own reviews of apps or suggest apps for the database that we might not have in the system. • If you sent out the survey to a group, would you consider sharing this message so that people can take the survey and/or learn about the free resources? • Thank you for partnering in this important work and for helping us better serve you. • Best, Rick • Dr. Richard E. Ferdig • Summit Professor of Learning Technologies • Professor, Instructional Technology • Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Technology & Teacher Education • Research Center for Educational Technology • Kent State University • http://www.ferdig.com
