  3. Pupil Voice..... S2 Class rep meeting in 012 at 1.15pm today!. Bring a packed or if you need to buy lunch you can get a pass for early lunch from reception.

  4. Young-person-friendly health drop-in@ Lasswade High School • A new drop-in has opened in the Conference Room, on the 1st Floor of the Community Wing • Every Thursday 3.30 – 5.30pm • Why don’t you come along and have a chat to someone

  5. What can I get at the new drop-in @ Lasswade High School? • Confidential young person friendly drop-in for young people aged 12 – 21 years • Health info and support • c:card plus point • Postal Testing Kits (PTKs) • Pregnancy testing & advice • Groupwork sessions

  6. Pupil volunteers required! – All year groups welcome! Pupils who’d like to help out at this year’s Science Alive Gala Day on Saturday 11th Octoberplease come to a meeting in room 105 on Wednesday 24th September at 1.20pm Activities include – performing science demos, helping the public, running the Lasswade HS stall

  8. Careers at the BBC Open Day For seniors interested in broadcasting, engineering and technology careers... • There will be an Open Day at Pacific Quay in Glasgow on Saturday 27th September. There will be 2 sessions on the day, each lasting for around 2hrs (first session 10am and 2nd session 12.30pm) To secure your place, you must book a ticket on line at http://www.bbc.co.uk/careers/trainee-schemes-and-apprenticeships/tech-careers

  13. CREATIVEWRITING CLUB Every Thursday lunchtime S1 – S3: Room 229 with Mrs Ramtohul S4 – S6: Room 219 with Miss Ludbrook

  14. S1 – S3 Glockenspiel/Keyboard Club This club meets on a Thursday lunchtime in Room 003. S1 – S3 pupils are invited to come along, have fun and further your music skills

S1/2 ‘Fun with Food’ Cookery Club • There are still a few spaces available for the cookery club which starts on Tuesday 30th September. • If you are interested in joining then please collect a permission form from Miss Bigley in Home Economics. • Places are limited to 40 S1/S2 pupils and will be based on a first come, first serve basis.

  18. Study Classes - Maths Tuesdays – National 5 and Higher Wednesdays – S1/2 (starts 1st October) National 4, 5 and Higher Thursdays – Higher All after school, in the Maths Department

  19. If you want to say "hello" to everyone on the planet, you would have to learn at least 2,796 languages and greet at least 7 billion people. It could be really handy if you are travelling or just want to know someone from a different culture. On Friday try and greet all your friends and teachers in a language other than English.

  20. Drama Club (S2- S6) There will be a short meeting this Wednesday lunchtime in room 007. Arrive at 1:05pm and bring your lunch. All members of the ‘Trio’ cast must attend.

  21. Tuesday 7th October 7pm Lasswade High School Tickets available from drama department from 29th September Adults: £4 Concession: £2.50 In aid of samh ( Scottish association for mental health) *contains scenes of a sensitive nature. May be unsuitable for those under 12* Trio

  22. Paired Reading A reminder to all S1 and S6 pupils involved in paired reading to go to the library on this morning at 8.30am – you will be registered there!

  26. LHS Girls’ Football Congratulations to last year’s U15 Girls’ Football Team for winning “TEAM OF THE YEAR” at the Midlothian Sports Awards • Training on Thursday after school • Camera crew coming for pictures and interviews

  27. Senior Boys Football All players should attend a meeting in the PE Department at break time today (changing room 5) We have games on Friday afternoon and Monday after school

  29. This week: HAWICK Well done to all the boys who played against Musselburgh and Portobello last Saturday! Games this Friday (26thSeptember) Lasswade High School S1 vsHawick S1 Lasswade High School S2 vsHawick S2 Lasswade High School S3 vsHawick S3 Bus leaves school at 1pm- Bring £2 and food for before and after the match.
