  1. Uninstall any Existing versions of ArcMap Before starting, ensure there are not existing versions of ArcMap on your computer Use the Uninstall option on the CD main menu

  2. Authorizing the EVA http://www.esri.com/landing-pages/software/arcgis/arcgis-desktop-student-trial

  3. Authorizing the EVA: Create ESRI Global Account or Login to Existing Account

  4. Enter Authorization Number 12 digit EVA number found on inside of CD cover

  5. Select A Version Select 10.1 for desktop

  6. Go back to the CD menu

  7. ArcMap 10.1 install on Windows 7 Insert the disk Click on the ESRI.exe file

  8. The Main Menu

  9. Install ArcGIS for Desktop Click on the Setup Click next

  10. Click I Accept and Next

  11. Choose “Complete” then Next

  12. Choose Destination Folder. Then Next

  13. Choose Python Destination Folder

  14. Start the install

  15. Wait until it insalls

  16. Done Install

  17. Previous Licenses Detected

  18. ArcGIS License Manager

  19. Don’t fill anything out. They have already been installed
