Purpose of Project • In this project you are the floral designer preparing a proposal for a bride who has requested your services. • It consists of planning a wedding to include the wear and carry flowers, and table decorations. • Description of the arrangements and a cost analysis will be included. • The work in this portfolio should reflect the professional image that florists shops display.
Cover Page • Include name of your floral shop, a business logo, and contact information.
Information • Names of Bride and Groom • Information for bride and groom • Contact information • Wedding details • Location of ceremony and reception • Time of ceremony and reception • Written description of theme, colors, and the bride’s vision of her wedding. What does she like, what has she requested?
Wear and Carry Flowers * 40 points • Bride’s bouquet • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost. You may also want to list the style and color of the dress, or include a picture. • Bridesmaid’s bouquets • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost for each. Total for all bridesmaid’s. You may also want to list the style and color of the dress, or include a picture. • Corsages for mother’s/grandmothers • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost. • Flower girl - optional • Head piece, rose petals, basket?
Wear and Carry Flowers * • Groom’s Boutonniere • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost. • Grooms Men’s Boutonniere • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost. • Father’s/Grandfather’s • Type of flowers to be used, number of flowers, and cost. • Ring Bearer - optional
Table Centerpiece • 1 centerpiece arrangement for a table (registration, cake, guest or head table-just specify which) • Include list of materials needed
Floral Gallery • Include a picture of each flower you plan to use for the wedding. It does not need to be a picture of the finished design—just a picture of the flower. • If you can find the finished piece—great, use it.
Proposal Contract…5 points • Include the Wedding Policy Agreement • Provided for you—must be included in the proposal book.
Total Costs • Price does matter---Whatever a bride’s wishes might be they are usually governed by a budget! Include a list of the total costs for all wedding designs. You may want to use a table such as the sample below.

Wedding Design Proposal ProjectSubmit a notebook, report folder, or binder of your choice. BE CREATIVE. Decorate your portfolio if you choose with colored paper, color pictures, etc.Due by the end of the final exam period on Friday, June 4.
