Recognised Relevance in Supporting Humanitarian Operations Coordination: • NOT another NGO coordination mechanism - enhance existing ones and identifying gaps • Globally - communication with members on key crises for policy work, encouraging NGO’s senior staff to Humanitarian Coordinator Roster etc. • Regionally – what we are here to consider • Nationally – create stronger links with NGO consortia, participation in HCT etc Quality and Accountability: • Promotion of Q and A and oversight on a number of key initiatives • Closer relationship with SPHERE • Improving humanitarian education within academia Role of Hub in supporting Humanitarian operations in SE Asia?

Strengthened Global ICVA Network • Unique Network and Resource – create stronger collective NGO voice, while allowing a forum for diversity of voices • Better Communications - member to member, regional to global etc. • Expanding ICVA Network - new members, create room for discussion and common understanding. Emphasis on Global Network. • Create Relationship with Other Networks – egAPPRN and ADRRN • Link Global, Regional and National Role of Hub in building new relationships and linking national, regional to Global

Strengthened Internal Organization The Board: • Chair: OXFAM, • Vice Chair: Mercy Malaysia • Plus: CFSI, Plan, ACT Alliance, AHA, OFADEC, IMC, NRC, RCK Secretariat: 8 full time staff, 2 part time staff • Executive Director • Policy team - new presence in NY • Humanitarian Reform project team • Admin and information team • SPHERE Development of the Hubs is critical element of strengthened internal org.
