  2. What’s an infinitive? • In Spanish: it is an action that ends in one of these three endings: –ar,-er,or–ir • In English: –ar,-er,or–ir means “to” • Hablar – to talk • Comer – to eat • Vivir – to live

  4. What is conjugation? • To conjugate means to change the endings of a verb to make it refer to who or what you’re talking about. • The ending also tells us when the action takes place: present, past, future, etc.

  5. How do I conjugate? • First, you take off the infinitive’s last two letters. • Second, add the ending that corresponds with the person you are talking about.
