Felix Hnat (vegan.at) • Jürgen Faulmann (four paws) • Chris Moser (MegA) • DI Elmar Völkl (four paws) • David Richter (VGT) • Monika Springer (VGT) • Harald Balluch (VGT) • plus 5 activist from BaT • affected by house raids: RespektTiere, Tier-WeGe, WTV

  4. the offences • 6 poeple have only §278a (membership in a criminal organisation) • anti-fascist related criminal damage (290€ small window) • possesion of illegal weapons (special baton) • constraint/necessitation (demo, mails) • resistance against police at demo • animal cruelty

  5. trial so far • day 19 • 3 days a week • till june 80 of 100 witnesses of the prosecution are invited • till now 5 of 15 invited are finished • expected till october minimum

  6. trial so far: financial situation • loss of job for 8 of 13 • 200.000€ per lawyer (5 lawyers) • 1.250€ back in case of „not guilty“ • 30.000€ libel for martin balluch, 30.000€ libel for my lawyer • guilty: 3.000€ court lump sum + 20.000€ telefone taping costs +3.000€ expert costs + 40.000€ compensation

  13. trial so far: the judge • „This is not a political case!“ • interrupts all the time • makes fun of charged people: haberditzl, EVU • doesnt allow questions • protects witnesses: „stop, you dont have to answer that questions“ • ask questions 10 times to witnesses (bauer) • threatens to throw martin out • changes the meaning of questions • 40 police pupils in court room occupying seats • whole rows of audience are being thrown out • no filming in court buliding anymore

  14. latest political developments • §278ff should be aggravated in 3-5 weeks • alliance of NGOs is being formed • quite good media reports about court case • publication of constitution-protection-report by minister of inner affairs: • ALWs abroad • travels to France • radio • just 3 criminal acts
