Scroll down and click on the “Update” button on one of your Programs For Example, for Aquaculture, you would click here.
Navigate through each outcome by clicking on the corresponding number.
For Each Student Learning Outcome… Provide your data in the “Results of Assessment” section and the “Use of the Results” Section
Tips on writing Results • Clear – make sure that a third person reading it understands what it is that is being said • Include numbers when giving percentages (ex. N=4) • Be detailed and specific • You can include an explanation if needed (ex. “state changed requirements mid-year, embedded test questions no longer used”)
“Results of Assessment” Examples • “We compared our graduates VTNE scores in the Dental Related subgroup and found that HCC was 3% above the national average; HCC = 67.20%, National = 64.20% (n=46)” • “Out of 60 students, 65% passed the statewide exam, however that was 55% (n=20) in Summer 2010, 65% (n=20) in Fall 2010, and 75% (n=20)in Spring 2011” • “Out of embedded questions numbers 5, 8, and 14 of Exam 2, students correctly answered at rates of 90%, 87%, and 89%, respectively (n=56).”
“Use of Results” Examples • “For Spring 2012, we will create e-Portfolios to capture student’s work throughout the term” • “student learning outcome too vague, will modify for next year” • “HCC scored above the national average, but we want to continue our leadership role. We will purchase three additional ultrasonic scalers that will improve our capability to give each student more laboratory time”
Lastly… Once you have entered the “results of assessment” and the “use of the results” scroll down and click the “Update” button
