New Features 2010 • Version 2010.227 • Released first week September.
New Features 2010 • Acquisition • For AOV after Start is click the control signal is set to the initial value then a second prompt to click to continue when valve is in position • For AOV tests instead of showing text boxes above show channels values similar to monitor screen and also include test time, elapsed time & time remaining in bigger font to read from a distance.
New Features 2010 • Configuration • Custom Wave Form Library (AOV)
New Features 2010 • Configuration • Calc String Pot Sensitivity for rotary valves
New Features 2010 • Configuration • Add System Data Form with M&TE field
New Features 2010 • Replay • Overlay tests from different directories
New Features 2010 • Replay • Ability to change lines to dots or triangles • Ability to change line weights and color on trace by trace basis.
New Features 2010 • Replay • Multiple Monitors – Ensure that popup windows occur on same monitor • AOV - Ability to trend Friction and other calculated channels
New Features 2010 • Analysis • Export To Excel AOV • Export to Excel with Office 2007 • AOV - Variable Moment Arm • AOV - Variable Actuator Area

New Features 2010 • QUIKLOOK Reports • QLReportAOV • Added Transducer Report • Added Overall Report • Added Positioner Report • Added Mechanical Properties Report • Added Drop Test Report • Added Calibration Report • Added Configuration Report
New Features 2010 • QUIKLOOK Reports • QLReportTrend • New Report • Added to QUIKLOOK ability to extract multiple test data from tests selected for trending from Test Listing or Replay
Version 2011.??? • To be released fourth quarter.
New Features 2011 • Acquisition – Monitor Screen • Zero all pressure channels option. • Prompt to save config if changed. • Warning if pressure channels are not zeroed.
New Features 2011 • Test Menu • Combine test • Combine two tests end to end • Split test into two tests • Crop a test saving only data between two markers • In each case a new test file will be created leaving the original tests intact.
New Features 2011 • Configuration • Load Sensor – Remember filter • Replay • Plot between markers (xy plots)
New Features 2011 • Analysis • Automark MOV traces
Software Error Notices • Version 2010.227 • Error Notice 2010.227-1 • Pretension graph does not work properly . • Pretension value units show mV/V but the actual number reported is in V/V . • Sensitivities for sensors using mV ranges are shown as volts but should be mV Note: This error only occurs on acquisition systems which utilize the new Validyne board, model 160026V. This error does not apply to systems using the Keithley board, model 160026, or to desktop systems
Software Error Notices • Error Notice 2010.227-1 • Workaround: • When pretensioning a C-Clamp use the numbers above the graph. When they are >=0.0027 and <= 0.003 then the clamp is properly pretensioned • Ignore mV/V label since voltage is V/V • Ignore Sensitivity units. Use configuration screen to check units.
Software Error Notices • Version 2010.227 • Error Notice 2010.227-2 • When testing a Double Acting AOV if the Top & Bottom Cylinder areas are set to the same value then an error will occur. This will not cause any errors in the results. • Workaround: • Since Top & Bottom Cylinder areas should not be the same, the bottom is smaller by the area of the piston rod, set the areas to different values. If actual areas are not available then set bottom area equal to top area minus 0.001 sq in.
Software Error Notices • Version 2010.227 • Error Notice 2010.227-3 • A filter on a trace acquired at an acquisition rates of 2,000 Hz, 5,000 Hz or 10,000 Hz trace will not produce correct results . • Workaround: • There is no workaround. Do not use the filter function on traces acquire above a 1,000 Hz acquisition rate .
Software Error Notices • Error Notice 2010.227-3 • This error applies to all versions of QUIKLOOK • The error involved varies depending on acquisition rate, noise frequency and filter frequency. Each filtered trace should be compared to the original trace to access the inaccuracies involved.
Software Error Notices • Error Notice 2010.227-3 • QLReportFindTests
Software Error Notices • Version 2010.227 • Error Notice 2010.227-4 • When entering the acquisition screen you may get a message of “Low Excitation Voltage”. • Background: When entering the acquisition screen QUIKLOOK first resets the acquisition boards, uploads the configuration then checks the excitation. The reset of the acquisition boards causes the excitation to change and if no load is attached to the system, the voltage does not settle down for approximately two seconds. Occasionally the excitation voltage check will happen before the voltage settles down and causes the low excitation message
Software Error Notices • Error Notice 2010.227-4 • Workaround: • Workaround: Make sure you have your sensors attached before going into the acquire screen. If this message appears go to the Monitor Screen. Check the excitation message in the lower right corner. If it states : "Excitation Voltage OK" then the excitation voltage is OK. • Note: This error only applies to systems containing the Validyne boards.
User Suggestion • When printing trace, the cursor still shows. Can you provide an option to NOT SHOW the cursor when printing traces?
User Suggestion • Can running loads and stroke times be added as part of the CTG configuration file, such that they are already preselected for each valve? I give the config files to my field testers before they test, and I have to spend the time adding all the points into each of the traces after they take them. Being able to do it in advance (once) and having it consistent would be a big plus.
User Suggestion • Another benefit here is that the field testers have the ability to go to the Analysis....Running Loads and Stroke Times and HAVE THESE VALUES ALREADY THERE. This would be a huge benefit to field testing.
User Suggestion • Contained in Quiklook.mdb file located in Quiklook directory • Copy Quiklook.mdb from computer with Running Loads & Stroke Time customized • Load into each acquisition system
User Suggestion • All Times will be added to each test at time of acquisition • All Running Loads, where the channel name matches a channel name acquired, will be added to each test at time of acquisition
