  4. TRB - NCFRPNational Cooperative Freight Research Program The NCFRP was authorized by SAFETEA-LU, sponsored by US DOT’s RITA, and Managed by the National Academies through TRB. SAFETEA-LU authorized $3.75 million per year in fiscal years 2006 through 2009. The exact dollar amount is determined by the annual appropriation process.

IDIQ IDIQ Process: 1: Individual FHWA program office initiates the request for IDIQ contract through the Office of Acquisition Management. 2: The Office of Acquisition Management announce the request via web 3: Interested contractors prepare and submit proposals to the Office of Acquisition Management 4: The program office evaluates all proposals and make a recommendation to the Office of Acquisition Management for award 5: The Office of Acquisition Management makes the award Typically, a prime contractor assembles a team consisting of numerous subcontractors

  10. Cooperative Agreement Agreement between FHWA and educational, nonprofit, and other institutions to conduct certain activities – key is that the educational, non profit … institutions needs to come up with matching fund – typically 20%
