1 Successful agile-lean transformation of an SME • New management model and tool to improve Steeri’s business by linking the strategic company-level goals with day-to-day tasks Workweekplanning • New model for leading and managing, • New project delivery method, and • Tools studied, piloted and deployed to support new ways of working • Lean transformation as a whole started, continuous improvements ongoing in several areas Our turnover more than doubled during the program Majority of our growth replaced previously off-shored / near-shored work so far cumulative~2,5..3M€ reduction on “imported work” (11/2013) Growth and profitability increase enabled us to raise our investments on product development • Scrum was scaled into multi-project environment where teams are responsible for delivering work to several Product Owners. Teams were able to transform from a chaos into constantly delivering results in each Sprint. • A tool developed that enables a software developer to manage and plan actual workload from several simultaneous projects. Tool is integrated with Agilefant.org and Salesforce.com calendar to get planned activities and free time remaining each week.
2 Research for meeting scheduling and collaboration - mobile devices and cloud services co-operating • Promising research and pilot development done with Aalto for meeting scheduling and collaboration using mobile devices and shared cloud service • Architecture study & pilot implementation done • Service design for user perspective • Work ongoing to create commercial products within iSteer SaaS • Integration with Salesforce.com • New collaboration, for example in Finncloud2 ecosystem
3) Framework & pilot for multi-channel communication in the cloud • A framework for self-learning multi-channel communication has been developed with JYU. • Enabling communication that is based on abstract messages, formal domain descriptions, formal communication channel descriptions and context-aware computing. • Four papers published and one to published. • Steeri is prototyping the solutions for managing and coordinating multichannel communication and the service for multichannel message sending and retrieval To become the ground for iSteer Dialog version 3
