COA 1 - ADVANTAGES • CTF HQ collocated with UN HA/DR Cell in Chiang Mai, facilitating coordination and transition to RTG upon completion of mission • Regional CTG structure uses existing C3 networks and provides redundancy • Retains MNF integrity by assigning country assets to the same CTG • Contracts remain in place when MNF departs, supporting a seamless transition to RTG when CTF departs • Logistics concept facilitates most efficient allocation/prioritization of limited support assets • Medical units deployed early to DP camps, with additional medical capability in reserve • Thai BPP & RTA Rangers secure the border
COA 1 - DISADVANTAGES • By allocating MNF assets to all three CTGs and the LTF, there is a risk of diluting the effectiveness of the CTF • Underutilization of naval assets
