  2. Progress Overview – 1st Progress Report • First progress report and clarifications handed in • Indicators for EcoRegion Project defined in Annex I of the progress report handed in

Progress Overview – 1st Progress Report: Problems Encountered • Low spending rate of money available for project • 10 of 22 partners requested money • Only 5% of project budget spent • First level controller • Centralized countries had problems with the reporting deadline • FLC under budgeted in many partner budgets • Great bureaucratic effort • Very time consuming procedure

Consequences: Operation Plan and Log Frame Operation plan aims at: • Encouraging project partners to plan their contributions • Developing concrete plans about activities in cooperation with project partners • Linking detailed activities with time, money and responsible partner for better project management • Collecting the needs for adaptation of budget and activities

  5. Consequences: Operation Plan and Log Frame Log Frame aims at: • Providing a better overview about responsibilities of each project partner • Improving the information about project progress

  6. Consequences: Financial seminar and Pre-Check • GTZ offered a briefing to financial managers and FLC to improve the preparation for reporting • GTZ will offer a pre-check of progress report to detect problems earlier • GTZ will advice partners about budget shifts to finance FLC • Conference evaluation

  7. Important Dates • End of 2nd Implementation Period: 31.01.2010 • Deadline for submitting progress reports, both financial and detailed description until 24.03.2010 • Pre-Check before sending Documents to FLC • Decision on date for 4th EcoRegion conference
