  2. The Characteristics: Education Art and Architecture Jobs

  3. Education The education in Ancient China had only one teacher for the whole elementary school and boys started school when they were about 6.

  4. Education They learned to read and write and they had to memorized page after page of Confucian philosophy and they also learned how to read and write essays and paint pictures.

  5. Education The reason boys had to go to to schools was for the schools to prepare them for government test to have a good job.

  6. Art and Architecture As most of you know about the Great Wall of China which now represents China. Over 3000 people worked on it.

  7. Art and Architecture • The great wall of China can be seen from the space today that’s how big it is. The Great Wall was a project that continued over 100 year’s.

  8. Art and Architecture • There is always a reason for everything and the reason they built the Great Wall of China was because the emperor wanted a better way to protect his county from other countries.

  9. Jobs • About the jobs in Ancient China there was a lot of different jobs in ancient China, the jobs that ruled Ancient China were kings and emperors. They had a lot of important jobs every job helped China.

  10. Jobs • Chinese people had slavery and farmers and there were people that built the Great Wall of China. The slaves and army were the ones that built the Great Wall of China and they were forced to do that.

  11. Jobs • About the craftsmen and merchants they are the people that became rich once the canals were built. Merchants that are successful might get the chance to ride the cart with a coachman.
