Format for AnS 501 -follow JAS format (received from Dr. Tyler last week) for citations and references -12 point font, single space • Length -2 pages maximum, exclusive of references • Deadline -Oct. 18, 1:10 pm • Submission -submit electronically to sebranek@iastate.edu
Content • Title-descriptive, complete, informative • Investigators and titles/degrees • Introduction/background A. Introduce the focus area B. Statement of the problem C. Discuss (and cite) previous relevant work, or lack of, particularly if there is disagreement D. Present the hypothesis to be tested
lV. Objectives-2 or 3 short phrases that indicate what you hope to achieve • Experimental plan A. Design of the experiment(s) B. Materials and methods to be used C. Statistical analyses Vl. Proposed timetable or timeline
Vll. Potential limitations of the study Vlll. Preliminary cost estimate (do not include this for AnS 501) XlX. References
