    2. What is: Data Warehouse/Brio Insight? Data Warehouse: Server that stores data exported from Mainframe Brio Insight: Read only web based tool to retrieve data (user friendly)

    3. What is: Data Warehouse/Brio Insight? Can access financial data, payroll data, permanent budget, and equipment

    4. What is: Data Warehouse/Brio Insight? Access to departments: User license Supervisors / MSO email Fairness of spreading across campus Free to departments Having others run reports until access received Standard reports created to help you

    6. Simple Reports: Vacation & Sick Leave by Dept. Prompts for the as of Ledger Date Standard Reports ask for particular prompts Will bring back the individuals you have access to

    7. Simple Reports: Vacation & Sick Leave by Dept. Go to Vacation & Sick Hours by Department Groups by home department of individual

    8. Simple Reports: Vacation & Sick Leave by Dept. Different from time benefits roster If you have paid the person, you will be able to see them Show balances and information similar to Time Benefits Roster or the ILAH, IHRS, IERN

    9. Simple Reports: Vacation & Sick Leave by Dept. Most helpful for an overview of current balances Shows total rather than multiple fund sources Can also look at just vacation, just sick, or a list by employee rather than grouping

    10. Simple Employee Leave Balances Prompt is for individuals you are allowed to access Looks at individual employee since beginning of employment or Feb ’99 (when leave reporting began)

    11. Simple Employee Leave Balances Notice adjustment in 1/99 when system was introduced Concise list of each employee rather than scrolling through screens of ILAH on PPS or flipping through Time Benefits Roster

    12. Simple Employee Leave Balances Shows totals for each month rather than by individual fund source Shows a good view of vacation hours lost which can be a common culprit

    13. Simple Employee Leave Balances Shows if hours were reported well Looks at hours by vacation or by sick

    14. Complex Employee Financial Leave Prompt is for individuals you are allowed to access More complex report demonstrates where accruals and deductions were taken from

    15. Complex Employee Financial Leave Assists multiple fund sources to look at the details of where the balances come from More detailed report to truly see what has happened for the individual employee Helpful with contracts and grants

    16. Complex Employee Financial Leave Will show all financial transactions: Vacation payout Payroll expense transfer Overpayment TX/AU/LX/RX/R2/E1/O2

    17. Conclusion Financial Leave can be challenging This makes it a little more manageable HINT: Look at when the last date was correct and work forward
