April Highlights • April weather was colder than normal and colder than 2012 but still mild, impact on prices minimal although warmer weather at end of month may have impacted volatility • Market price volatility on April 5 (outage based?) • Congestion volatility primarily remains out West • Increases in Emergency Energy uplift in April • Ancillary Services comparable year over year; • AS March 2013 $0.88 compared to $1.41 • High market prices generally trend to higher AS prices • Comparable to April 2011 (Spring Outages, weather?)
