  1. Steps to Minimize Risk Associated with Forklift Operation At construction sites, where forklift operators are driving forklift vehicles, there are always chances of accidents occuring. There could be anything from slippery paths to collisions to falls during loading or unloading. The few ways one can minimize the risks are as follows: •Always wear a seat belt while operating a forklift •Do not overload your machines. Keep the load balanced. •Do not load or unload while the vehicle is moving •Make separate paths for pedestrians and vehicles •Keep a distance from other vehicles •Drive forklift at a slow speed while it is loaded •Do not give rides or use it to lift people
