  1. 1/6 Bi-Weekly Meeting2004/09/21Susumu Oda 1. Noise Analysis 2. Two Track Separation 3. JPS Meeting

  2. 2/6 Noise Analysis Fourier Transform • Fourier transform was applied to signal. • Though three peaks can be seen, they don’t seem to be significant.

  3. 3/6 Noise Analysis Pedestal • The fluctuation of pedestal for a run is ~0.6ch. • The fluctuation of mean of pedestal during for an event is ~0.2ch. • The 1st channels of each board are noisy.

  4. 4/6 Noise Analysis Correlation Analysis • Correlation coefficients between pads were calculated. • Outer pads ~0.6. • Inner pads ~0.1.

  5. 5/6 2. Two Track Separation Distance of two tracks in drift direction • Because of high beam rate evaluation of track distribution is difficult. Simulation With Pb Simulation Without Pb Low rate Without Pb High rate Without Pb High rate With Pb

  6. 6/6 3. Contents of Presentation at JPS Meeting“Research and Development of a Time Projection Chamber Using Gas Electron Multipliers (GEM-TPC)” • 1. Title, Name and Contents • 2. Motivation of GEM-TPC • 3. Structure and Readout of GEM-TPC • 4. Setup of Beam Test and Measurement Topics • 5. Detection Efficiency • 6. Spatial Resolution • 7. Two Track Separation • 8. dE/dx Measurement for PID • 9. Beam Rate Dependence • 10. Conclusion
