  2. Your Panel • Frank Dooley, Purdue University • Philip C. Genetos, Senior Partner, Ice Miller • William E. Linville, Executive Vice President, Duke Realty Corp. • Steve Klinger, Director of International Services, Cargo Services Inc. • Christopher O. Johnson, Vice President, Fifth Third Securities Inc.

  3. Our format • We have 90 minutes to focus of our breakout group is upon various services that support TDL • Will begin with short presentations by our four panel members • Each has been asked to identify two gaps/needs to Indiana being the center of TDL

  4. Your opportunity • Then will open the floor to your response and ideas • We will be collecting note cards with questions • Recognize the differing perspectives on issues   • Also have a series of questions to consider

  5. Additional Issue 1 • Each of you has noted his highest priority item for Indiana's transportation infrastructure.  If Indiana made such a change or investment, how would the demand for your company' services change?

  6. Additional Issue 2 • Is your company's business development plans for Indiana dependent upon state (or federal) funding for infrastructure or other transportation projects?

  7. Additional Issue 3 • From a carrier's perspective, what are the advantages of operating in Indiana (i.e., low costs, geographic location, etc.)?

  8. Additional Issue 4 • Besides funding, are there any state (or federal) regulatory issues (e.g., licensing, insurance, safety/fitness, etc.) that you would like government officials to resolve that would make operating in Indiana easier or more profitable?

  9. Additional Issue 5 • With the federal government's attention focused on global supply chain security, how do your recommendations affect trade security?  • Do you see any way that Indiana can benefit from federal spending on trade security?

  10. Additional Issue 6 • If, after this symposium, Indiana officials do not adopt any of your recommendation, what will the transportation landscape look like in one year, two years, five years?
