  2. Early Life • He was born in 1454, in Florence, Italy. • In1491, he went to live in Spain. • Amerigo Vespucci’s first name was also Americas. • North America was named after him. • He worked for a ship repairing company.

  3. First voyage • In 1495, he sailed on a Spanish ship. • He was a navigator on the Spanish ship. • He explored the northeastern coast of South America.

  4. His expedition • Amerigo Vespucci discovered the mouth of the Amazon. • He described places he explored as ‘New World.’ • He also explored Asia.

  5. Close to the end of his life • Vespucci did all kinds of commercial businesses. • In 1491, he was sent to Seville Spain. • Amerigo Vespucci became the manager of Seville.

  6. His death • After all of his expeditions, his life came to his death. • In 1512, he died in Spain. • And this is life of Amerigo Vespucci.
