Intensive Care Unit • Location: Level 1 adjacent to current ICU • Accessible via a skywalk that will connect the two buildings • Badge-access unit • New Features • 24 beds • Unit will have three AII (negative pressure) with an ante room • There are also four high-capacity/accessible rooms • These rooms will be fully outfitted with new equipment • Room Numbering • Rooms will be four digits and start with 8 (8101-8124)
Progressive Care Unit • Location: Level 2 adjacent to IMCU • Accessible via new elevator located at the entrance of the new ICU • 28 beds • Naming Convention • Progressive Care Unit • Existing Procedural Care Unit will move into the vacated ICU in early 2020 and be renamed the Short Stay • Patient Type • Step down patients with a primary medical or surgical diagnosis will be cared for on the Progressive Care Unit • Step down patients with a primary cardiovascular diagnosis will continue to be cared for on the IMCU • Room Numbering • Rooms will be four digits and begin with an 8201-8228 • Admission • New admissions with diagnosis suitable for care on this unit will be accepted beginning May 19
