Cell Tower Ordinance Update Basic Ordinance Provisions • Service provider submits information regarding: • Other facilities within city limits • Other co-location opportunities – the owner of the tower and the owner of the property on which it is located must certify to the city that the tower is available for use by another wireless telecommunications provider(s) on a reasonable and nondiscriminatory basis and at a cost not exceeding the market value for the use of facilities. Requirement that applicant pay for third party consultant to verify justification for location, design and height of proposed facility.

  2. Cell Tower Ordinance Update Basic Ordinance Provisions • Establishes minimum distance radius between towers: • Typically 5000 feet • Establishes minimum distance from existing residential: • Typically three foot distance for every one foot tower height

Cell Tower Ordinance Update Basic Ordinance Provisions • Establishes a maximum height: • Typically 120’ • Establishes the following design criteria: • stealth monopole • provide architects rendering or visual depiction • apparatus internal to structure • accommodate at least three providers • max. height of 120’

  4. Cell Tower Ordinance Update Basic Ordinance Provisions Provide site plan, drawn to scale, indicating location and height, distance from buildings and to other structures on the same adjacent properties to include a radius equal to the required setback (3:1) or 200 feet whichever is greater.
