Traits Of The Millennial Generation • Open to change/willing to go against the grain • Liberal • Non-religious • Confident • Over-achieving • “Special” • Our parents raised us to believe this.
How Do We See Ourselves • Able to change the world • Raised to believe in ourselves • See change as a worth working for • Always capable of rising to the occasion • Pushed to take on extra responsibility and workload • Happy • Good self image
Unique Language Patterns • Slang version of English • Short hand writing • Ex.) BRB, LOL • Brought upon by technology • Texting • AIM • Twitter • Facebook
People Of The Millennial Generation • Anyone who is involved with technology is involved in the millennial generation • Steve Jobs • Bill Gates • Mark Zuckerberg • Celebrities
A Unique History • 9-11: a day that will forever be in our minds • Recession: the panic for jobs • War In Iraq: the result of 9-11 has stuck with us and has caused devastation to our generation.
Arts & Entertainment • Technology Change • Harry Potter • Video games • TV- nickelodeon • Boy Bands To Rappers • Pop to Rap • Starts with boy bands • Pixar and Disney
People Of Faith • Roughly 25% of Millennials do not belong to a specific religion. • People will have their own morals. • We do not have people sway us in our moral obligations.
“The Good News Generation” • We strive for excellence • Most are not content with good enough • If we do not reach our goal, we do not stop
And So Forth… • TV was an important part of our growing up • Learned many lessons from TV shows such as Full House, Saved by the Bell, and Boy Meets World • entertained us and taught us morals
