When you leave this session, you will be able to… • Access the Faculty Wiki and set up a user account. • Navigate the Faculty Wiki Headers, Sidebar, and Toolbox. • Access a User Page and use Personal Tools. • Create, Edit and add a variety of content to pages. • Judge ways to use a Wiki in your course.

  3. What is a Wiki? Wiki is a Hawai'i an term meaning very fast or “Quickly”. There are multiple types of Wiki technology that share common benefits, such as being accessible via the Web and allowing you and students to … - Quickly edit/add content. - Quickly track changes through “history” - Quickly search for content. - Quickly identify user contributions. - Quickly see relationships (links) among content. The Faculty Wiki uses the “Media Wiki” technology, which is the same technology as Wikipedia.
